Philadelphia Inquirer – Todd Johnson, who recently joined MDS Pharma Services in the role of senior vice president for Strategy and Corporate Development, was featured in the Inquirer’s June 11 “People in the News” column of the Business section. Other pick-ups included:

CenterWatch Weekly – MDS Pharma Services was featured in the June 11 issue under the heading: “MDS Pharma Services turning around.” The piece follows the announcement of our second quarter results and highlights MDS Pharma Services growth, Phase I expansion and resolution of the Food and Drug Administration review in Montreal. CenterWatch Monthly (June 2007) released results of its 2007 Survey of US investigative sites, with MDS Pharma Services ranking 5th in the industry. MDS has been consistently ranked in the top-five tier since 2001 through various metrics. MDS Pharma Services was also ranked as the Best CRO (with a 40% score) in terms of providing ongoing help in running studies. On workstyle measured, MDS Pharma Services was ranked second (with a 41% score) as CRO with a supportive culture. Good Clinical Practice journal (GCPj) – Global Clinical Development Vice President and General Manager James Pusey is interviewed in the publication’s special Global Outsourcing supplement. James addresses key challenges facing global CROs, as well the solutions MDS Pharma Services offers to deliver better results for sponsors. Montreal Gazette and Outsourcing Pharma – The recent announcement of our Montreal site reconfiguration was picked up in May by a few outlets. Some included this quote from MDS Pharma Services President Dave Spaight: “These actions bring closure to the past and clarity to the Montreal site's future direction. Investments will be made there over the next several months to create a new and more appropriate facilities footprint for the site.”(link)
