Contract Pharma: MDS Pharma Services was featured in its CRO Overview issue. Asked about MDS Pharma Services; efforts over the past year to divest noncore operations to concentrate on providing drug discovery and development support solutions, President Dave Spaight said: "We have exited niche operations, such as soil and water testing, fermentation and small batch drug manufacturing, and are focusing on our core competency. That focus included the opening of our first U.S. central lab facility last year. We recently increased our Phase I capacity in Lincoln, Nebraska, and we're adding a 300-bed expansion in Phoenix, Arizona, to accommodate anticipated future demand."
